Canada to Restore Express Entry Job Offer Points Beginning November 3, 2026.

Canada to Restore Express Entry Job Offer Points Beginning November 3, 2026.
Starting November 3, 2026, Canada will reinstate Express Entry job offer points and eliminate LMIA requirements for certain qualifying permanent resident job offers.
Starting November 3, 2026, Canada will restore Express Entry points for qualifying job offers in certain high-wage occupations, offering some skilled foreign workers a higher chance of obtaining permanent residency.
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced revisions that will provide more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points for qualified Canadian work experience in these occupations.
The improved scoring may boost the standing of Indian professionals who already work in Canada or plan to seek for permanent residency.Express Entry reform Canada: IRCC plans to modernize the federal highskilled classesWhat's changed since November 3?
Under the new Labor Market Integration factor, prospective candidates can earn additional CRS points by completing qualifying Canadian work experience or accepting a job offer in a specified high-wage occupation. IRCC will give the higher score rather than enabling candidates to combine them.
Eligibility will be determined by the IRCC's published list of vocations, rather than by a candidate's salary.
Candidates seeking points through a qualifying job offer must update their Express Entry profiles by November 3, 2026.Canadian Immigration News, October 1, 2025.https://travunited.com/visas/ca
LMIA requirement will be removed for some job offers.
IRCC will also waive the Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requirement for qualifying job offers under the Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Skilled Trades Programs.
Employers and candidates will no longer require an LMIA just to support Express Entry job offers. However, offers must be genuine, businesses must meet the applicable standards, and separate work permit restrictions will remain in effect.
This represents a move away from depending on the LMIA procedure to support qualified job offers and toward prioritizing the nature of work and a candidate's Canadian employment record.

Express Entry Invitations to Pause
IRCC will automatically recalculate CRS scores for existing Express Entry candidates, including points for acceptable Canadian work experience.
Invitation rounds will be paused beginning November 3 until the recalculation takes place. The ban may last up to two weeks, following which invitations are expected to resume.
The changes come after Canada's withdrawal of CRS points for eligible employment offers in March 2025. The new system returns job offer points for a smaller number of occupations while including eligible Canadian work experience into the redesigned scoring structure.
A foreign employment offer does not guaranty extra points for Indian applicants outside of Canada. The occupation must be on IRCC's published list, and the offer must meet the program conditions.IRCC Translation Requirements: Complete 2026 Guide for Immigration Applicants | A2Z Language Hub | A2Z Language HubTravunited Take:
We see this as a practical option for competent Indians who already work in Canada, however eligibility will be determined by occupation and experience level. Candidates should check their profiles before November 3.
