Negombo (Arrival)
Greetings from Sri Lanka! Meet when you get there, then head to Negombo. After checking into your accommodation, relax. Spend the night at Negombo. (D)
Negombo - Sigiriya:
Check out and head to Sigiriya after breakfast. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage when traveling. An unforgettable experience. Spend the night at Sigiriya. (B, D)
Sigiriya - Anuradhapura
Check out and head to Anuradhapura after breakfast. See the biggest and most exquisite shrine ruins in Lankatilaka, Thuparamaya. Visit Isurumuniya Vihara and Twin Vihara as well. Visit the Gal Vihara, a rock shrine with engravings, next. One example of Sinhalese stone carving is the statue of Parakramabahu. Spend the night at Anuradhapura. (B, D)
Anuradhapura - Kandy
Take a tour to Anuradhapura, the most famous and historic ruins, after breakfast. Afterwards, go to Kandy and stop at the Matale batik factory and spice garden en route. Spend the night in Kandy. (B, D)
Kandy - Bentota
After breakfast, check out and take a tour of Kandy's city, stopping at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Market Square, Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, and Upper Lake Drive. After the tour is over, travel to Bentota and spend the night there (B, D).
Bentota - Colombo
Check out and head to Galle after breakfast. Take a stroll around the harbor and lighthouse or go to the old town to buy some of the world's best handcrafted mementos. Once your tour is over, head to Colombo. When you are there, go on your city tour of Colombo. Explore the historic Dutch Hospital complex, the Fort, Sea Street, and the Goldsmiths' quarters in the center of Pettah. See the Avukana Buddha replica and Independence Square at the BMICH as well. The remainder of the day is free. Spend the night in Colombo. (B, D)
